Everyone loves to swipe their Air Miles card. It’s a simple and effective way to accumulate loyalty points in exchange for services or products. North American Construction now provides employees with an opportunity to put their safety record to good use with a new Health & Safety Incentive Program.

Launched in June, 2010, NACG’s new Health & Safety Incentive Program not only rewards employees for safe working days, but provides additional points for active participation in the safety program.

To kick off the program, each North American employee who registered in the new program received safety points retroactive from April 1st, 2009. As well, employees earned additional bonus points based on the significant reduction of our Disabling Injury Rate in FY2010.

“The safety and welfare of our employees has always been a top priority at North American Construction and something that we proudly hang our hardhat on,” said Chris Yellowega, Vice President of Operations. “The new Health and Safety Incentive program was designed to be as user friendly as possible, while reinforcing our commitment to maintain a safe work environment.”

Just like the popular Air Miles program, employees can now redeem their accumulated safety points for a variety of awards. Some of the items available for redemption include NACG branded apparel, digital cameras, men’s and ladies watches, MP4 players, DVD players, luggage and much more.
