Safety Ambassadors are individuals who actively promote safety in the workplace. They also work to promote the objectives, responsibilities and initiatives of the HS&E Management System. These individuals understand the importance of intervening if they see an unsafe act on the job. The Safety Ambassador program is incredibly valuable to NACG because the Safety Ambassadors themselves assist other employees in becoming stewards of on-the-job safety.

Employees are encouraged to nominate colleagues who are positive examples of strong leadership in health and safety. The Safety Ambassadors are people who care about the safety and health of others. They continuously strive for exemplary acts of health and safety in their daily work routines. Safety Ambassadors help to deliver strong safety messages to fellow workers in a way that is easily received.
